4. Mizoram State Museum

The Mizoram State Museum is located in Aizawl, Mizoram, India. It is a fascinating ethnographic museum that showcases a diverse range of collections. The museum consists of five galleries, namely the Textile Gallery, Ethnology, History, Anthropology, Natural History, and an Archaeology Terrace. These galleries are spread across four floors, offering a comprehensive exploration of the region’s rich heritage.

The museum was established in April 1977 by the Tribal Research Institute under the Education Department. Later, in 1989, it came under the jurisdiction of the Art and Culture Department. Initially, the museum was housed in a rented building. However, on 14 July 1990, it was relocated to a new and permanent building situated at Mc Donald Hill. Over the years, the museum galleries have undergone significant renovations, thanks to the diligent efforts of the Indian Museum in Kolkata. Financial assistance has also been received from the prestigious Victoria Memorial in Kolkata.

6. Solomon’s Temple, Aizawl

Solomon’s Temple is a church located in Aizawl Mizoram, India.
The temple was constructed by the religious group Kohhran Thianghlim, translated as ‘The Holy Church’ in English. It was founded by Dr. L.B. Sailo in 1984 and is non-denominational. The temple is one of the largest in Mizoram state.
